Welcome!

Somehow, you have landed on the website and blog of D.L. Morrese. He’s just some random old retired guy, but you’re more than welcome to read whatever he’s posted here. There is some stuff about books he wrote. A few people even said they liked them.

  1. I loved the Adept series. I realized half way though the first book that that’s what I was re-reading. P. A. remade. Good job.

  2. VICKY DOIDGE

I have so enjoyed your books on the Warden’s World. I wish there were more! I love the android animals. The veiled references are really neat like the Kentucky Fried Chicken and Custer’s last stand. The very best was the statement “He’s dead, Jimm” That sent chills up my spine!
I am wondering about the Brane books. I haven’t tried them yet. I am sure that I will.

    • Thanks for your kind words, Vicky. I do often wonder if anyone reads my books, and if they have, if liked them. I am very pleased that you did. I am currently working on another Warden’s World book, but it’s far from completion. In the meantime, I do hope you’ll try the Brane Child series. I think it’s quite fun.

  3. Hi 🙂 as far as my English is so unperfect, I will leave only a few words. I just want to say ur ‘Brane Child’ trylogy was a really first book(s) I’ve ever read in english. As u can see it’s quite a big deal for me 🙂 So, I want to say: tank u for a great books, I will stay with them for a while.

  4. I have just finished reading the 3 books in the Brane series and admit, I have not enjoyed a series of books so much for year. I am an avid SF reader and have been since about 1955 when I discovered Arthur C Clarke’s Childhoods End. Like you I enjoyed Douglas Adams and have seen the stage version of HHGG a number of times. The second time I was invited to be one of the crowd at the Restaurant at the end of the universe. Happy memories

  5. I absolutely love your novels; however, your proofreader needs to brush up on his or her skills. As a retired English teacher and book editor myself, incorrect spelling and tense give me goose bumps, and not pleasant ones!

Keep writing, but please give your proofreader a heads up.

  6. Just finished “An Android Dog’s Tale.” Most enjoyable. Well written and thought-provoking.
    Thank you!

  7. Dave
I caught your book “An Android Dog’s Tale”- its a great tale although I would have thought humans would be harder to influence in person; as “thinkers” come around in every generation. All in all a great tale, I’m off to buy and read the Warden series..to see what happens to Moe.

  8. will Mo 126 be awaken?

  9. Hi Thanks for the warden series, I’ve just finished, rated and reviewed. Then shared and tweeted. 5 stars on goodreads. Hope the review helps. Jeremy Poole

  10. David, Brane Child is your best book yet!!!!!!!!!! Never having been a SciFi fan, I found that I just hadn’t found the right author. Sometimes authors are easier to find than one might think!

Brane Child had me on the edge of my seat all the way. I thought many times that I had it all figured out but was surprised endlessly—all the way to Lisa’s mental image. very thought provoking for those of us in to metaphysics. and I laughed so many times. I must say LAUGHED out loud–not a chuckle!!!!!!!

    hope this is a series!

    Don

    • Thanks, Don. I’m humbled. I was planning three ‘brane’ books. I’m currently working on the first draft of the second one. The working title is… well, I don’t suppose I should say just yet. 🙂

  11. have read both Warden books and Amy’s Pendant. loved them all!!! love the blend of humor, time frames, sci fi and fairy tale. am looking forward to the next book!!! David’s books are NOT formula stories. they are most unique and written levels above the average book on the market today. Certainly books to entertain and to make the reader THINK and laugh.

Keep up the great work David!!!!!!!!!!
    Don
